Baking Cookbooks Reviews

I have 50 dessert cookbooks, hmm, to much?
I love to bake, so after buying one cookbook here and one cookbook there my collection GREW. I know, I know, it sounds like a lot, and it is, but I don't plan on getting any more, unless it was really one of a kind. Anyway I just love having the books, but many times I find myself getting recipes over the internet because I get to see the ratings for the recipes and the reviews. What do you think?
Sammie Chua- Don't get me wrong, I love my cookbooks and would never give them up. I do use them. I just wanted peoples opinions on what they thought about 50 dessert cookbooks ![]()
chickadee34- I'm not ashamed, I'm very proud of my passion and my books
No, I don't think it's too much at all; but then I'm hardly one to talk lol. I personally have over 1000 cookbooks, the vast majority of which were accumulated before the Internet even came into being, and several of which are now considered extremely valuable to collectors. When a person has a true passion for cooking or baking, he/she tends to read a newly acquired cookbook cover-to-cover, relishing every bit of it, and subsequently frequently returns to it . Do I nonetheless still seek out recipes -- complete with their ratings and reviews -- on the Internet? Of course I do. That's part of the passion. Yet, I still enjoy poring over my various cookbooks and am happy to share here and elsewhere online the cookbook recipes with which I've had particular success.
In short, your owning all those cookbooks is a representative part of your genuine passion for baking, and therefore certainly nothing to be the least bit ashamed of! You go, girl!
