Southern Living Cookbooks Recipes
Does anyone know the recipe for the chops of Chile of a cookbook of southern life?
My grandmother had a series of cookbooks southern living and this recipe was in one. It is very good and I would love the recipe again. I searched online and can not find it. Can anyone help? Top with onion, green pepper and chili sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until meat juices run clear. Asian Pork Chops Southern Living yield 4 servings Ingredients 1 / 2 cup hoisin sauce 3 tablespoons cider vinegar 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce in Asia 1 / 4 teaspoon garlic powder 4 (1/2-inch-thick) boneless pork chops 1 teaspoon salt 1 / 2 teaspoon pepper Preparation 1. Add the hoisin sauce together and next 3 ingredients in a shallow dish or large freezer zip-top plastic bag, remove and reserve 1 / 4 cup marinade. Add the chops to remaining marinade in the dish. Cover or seal, and chill 2 to 4 hours. Remove chops from marinade, discarding marinade. Sprinkle chops evenly with salt and pepper. 2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, cook chops 3 to 4 minutes per side or until done. Brush with 1 reserved / 4 cup marinade. Note: For testing only used Maggi Taste of Asia Sweet Chili Sauce.
