Would you say it's a little silly for me to be so interested in cooking?

I've always been a disaster in the kitchen but my wife has convinced me to give it a go and see what happens, she's now jokingly saying I'll be as good as Gordon Ramsey and that she's going to get me a cookbook. What do you think? should I stick at this and develop my culinary skills? ^_^ or am I doomed to be the one who sets off the smoke alarm?

not at all, men sometimes make the best cooks, hell, when I started cooking, I had trouble boiling water, now, I can cook just about anything and the amazing part about cooking is that its edible when I'm finished, and don't try to crawl off the plate and escape!

Most of the cooking I do is seafood, shrimp, grouper, abalone, mountain trout, squid, clams and oysters.

Also love to do my own Bar-b-queing, especially good at cooking gator-tail, love the taste and the meat just melts in your mouth.

course, whenever I go a gator-hunting, sometimes see gators carrying signs that read: "EAT MORE CHICKEN"
