Tips for losing weight is as easy as 1-2-3:

1) Simply cut the sugars Refined / carbohydrates (juice, soda, candy, cakes, pies, and alcohol) will give a surprising result.

2) The next step is to cut any thing made with white flour (cakes, bread and pasta). Sugar and white flour are EVIL! Sugar and refined starches cause a rise in blood glucose. This results an increase in the hormone insulin. When your body produces excess insulin can result in excess calories and sugar that is stored as fat. This explains why many patients who eat a diet high in refined carbohydrates are often obese and are on track to diabetes or heart disease.

3) The next step to get healthy and lose weight is to start moving more (look for the farthest parking space, go to the last room, take the stairs). Remember, every step counts. 10,000 steps a day counts as physical activity. Ultimately, many people are under the assumption that one should lose weight to reduce calories drastically. Not true. Women should not eat less than 1,200 calories a day and men should eat no less than 1,800 calories a day. These calories should be high in protein, fiber and phytonutrients (ie, fruits and vegetables). When the body senses a lack of calories, especially if less than what is needed to survive at rest, it will decrease your metabolism to survive on the calories you are actually getting. These calories should be consumed in three meals and two snacks. The breakfast is a necessity. It is important to break the fast of sleeping all night and start your metabolism each day.
