Gourmet - from scratch - whole foods - Cookbook recommendations?
So many times I look for a recipe and they include shortcuts from the market like campbell's cans of soup, or condensed milk, or graham cracker or pillsbury dough just to name a few, I want one amazing book that includes real ingredients with no shortcuts, using whole foods and not preserved shortcuts at the store. Gourmet ingredients from the raw state. I have old fashioned books like this but they don't have anything really fancy and exquisite, more like basics, I am not looking for mashed potatoes and pie recipes. I like those with a picture per recipe too. I want to find this for my aunt for Christmas. I want something that came out recently. I have antique/old versions.
I have well over 200 cookbooks.The one that I refer to most often is the encyclopedia of creative cooking.edited by Charlotte Turgeon.It is a very well rounded cookbook ,it varies from fancy to down home.with no shortcuts.and over 800 photos.
