Colorado Cookbooks

Would you recommend the Colorado Cache Cookbook?
Why or why not?
Yes, I would certainly recommend it! I own over 1000 cookbooks, yet Colorado Cache remains one of my very favorites, despite the fact that it was first published about 30 years ago.
The recipes are not only extremely dependable (all were, at a bare minimum, triple tested), they are also particularly outstanding. Although none of the recipes is extremely difficult, there is a touch of sophistication in each one.
Another reason I like Colorado Cache:
In addition to the usual chapters (i.e. Appetizers, Breads, Salads, Vegetables, Pasta/Rice, Entrees, Desserts), this cookbook also devotes entire chapters to Brunch, Microwave Cooking, Mexican Cooking, and recipes for Picnics and Camping. So many great recipes!
Even their Potpourri section is outstanding, with excellent recipes for Homemade Mustards, unusual Jellies and Jams, Baked Applesauce, Chutneys, assorted homemade spice and seasoning mixes such as Homemade Curry Powder and Chinese Five-Spice Powder, various excellent Punches (including Banana Punch, Hot Buttered Cranberry Punch and Spiced Peach Punch), great recipes for a variety of homemade liqueurs, as well as various Nut Mixes, amongst so much else.
By the way, the absolute Best recipe for oatmeal cookies, with an unusual method for creating chewy cookies (involving soaking the raisins first in the egg mixture), first appeared in Colorado Cache.
Of all the Junior League cookbooks out there (most of which I own a copy of, being the cookbook "junkie" that I helplessly am), Colorado Cache has not only been universally pronounced as one of the "very best," it also is amongst the ones I personally treasure the most.
